I won’t even lie, this scene made me weep. And I don’t even particularly like Glee anymore and I don’t watch it all the time like I used to. But this evoked something deep within me and I cannot explain it.
“There is a moment when you say to yourself… ‘Oh, there you are. I’ve been looking for you forever.’”
I loved the background on Matthew’s life that was shared in this book, as well as the details of the attack, Matt’s time in the hospital, and the resultant trials, all free of any kind of media bias or hyperbole. I applaud Judy for writing this book, for sharing the story of her son and her experiences with the world. In the book, she states that her motive for composing this work was to tell the true story of Matthew, which is exactly what she acheived.
